Annie Gagiano

Anna Hildegard Gagiano was born on 19 February 1947 in Stellenbosch.
Her father is Ters van Huyssteen.
Annie Gagiano obtained her BA, BA (Honours) and MA degrees - all cum laude - as well as her DLitt, at Stellenbosch University, where she has been lecturing in the Department of English since 1969. Her areas of specialisation (in teaching) are Shakespeare studies, African prose fiction in English and Twentieth-century English poetry. She is the editor of The African Library at LitNet.
Annie Gagiano has four daughters.
