PF (Flip) Theron

Philippus Francois Theron was born in the district of George on 4 August 1942. He matriculated from the Outeniqua High School and received the degrees BA, BD and DD at the University of Pretoria.
He was minister of religion in congregations of the Dutch Reformed Church in Pretoria and Stellenbosch.
Appointed as senior lecturer in Systematic Theology at Stellenbosch University and as associate professor in personal capacity in 1990. He retired in 2003.
During October 2003 he was guest lecturer at the Free University in Amsterdam.
He is a founding member of the International Reformed Theological Institute and, since 1995, Board Member of the International Reformed Theological Institute.
He published some 40 articles on theological subjects, also meditations in Die Burger and Die Beeld and popular articles in church periodicals.
Flip Theron is married to Marianna, née Conradie, and they have four sons and twin daughters.
