The Garden

Here are just a few of the more than thousand different plants in our garden.
Since our region can be very hot and dry in summer, we planted mainly plants that thrive in a Mediterranean climate.
Preferably South African wild flowers that belong here.

Chamaeleon
The Cape Dwarf Chamaeleon
grows to about 20 cm long.
It is the only chameleon in South Africa
to bear life young.

Growing indigenous bulb flowers from seeds or leaf cuttings is my favourite pastime. This hobby can grow out of hand easily:
I have some 500 pots with about 400 different species of bulb flowers. Some of my friends at IBSA, the indigenous bulb growers society, have many more than this.
Member of the South African Botanical Society get free seeds.
